This Trabzon costume was formed from the amalgamation of the most diverse costumes of Armenians who settled in Trabzon from different parts of Armenia.

In ancient times, outerwear was one of the important parts of women’s clothing. It was made of purple, green and crimson silk. Decorated with twisted gold thread embroidery.

Armholes were embroidered with a wide band of plant motifs, and frills were sewn on the edges. The hat was made of red and black mahood or silk.

It was embroidered and decorated with drams.
The Trabzon costume survived until the 1930s.
